AboutUs

Theresa and Victoria are former professional models with first-hand knowledge of the fashion industry.  They teach their clients to use "tricks of the trade" for total image confidence.

Theresa

In the fall of 1978, Theresa (Tracy) Gargon’s senior portraits won a Kodak film  contest setting the path for a modeling career.  She started on the runway and mastered the art of mannequin and tea room modeling working for clients including Bloomingdales, Hechts, Woodward & Lothrop, Macy’s, JC Penney and Talbots.  These opportunities led to extensive print work for local and national clients including Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, GEICO, Starfish Tuna, MasterCard, Sears, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, AAA and Plow and Hearth. Tracy is a proud member of the performers’ unions, AFTRA and SAG. On-camera roles include an appearance on the HBO acclaimed series The Wire, with government training films and car commercials rounding out her television work.  Tracy co-founded DTI and enjoys the challenges of working with all types of people.  She firmly believes everyone can look great at any age.

   Victoria Tamburo

Victoria (Vicki) Tamburo launched her 30 year career as a professional actress and model at just 13 years old when she landed a principal role in a Coke commercial.  She is an AFTRA/SAG member with a multi-faceted experience portfolio in TV commercials, industrial training films, movies, print and runway.  Vicki is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Radio, TV & Film.  She was featured as a fashion reporter for WJZ TV’s Evening Magazine and a sports reporter for WDCA TV’s High School Sports Show.  Her petite runway client list includes major retailers Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s/Hecht’s, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdales.  Among her numerous on-camera and print clients are national and local names such as IKEA, MCI, NationsBank, C&P Telephone, Kiwi Shoe Products, U.S. Postal Service, Graco, Valley Motors Mercedes-Benz and the Greenbrier Resort.  As co-founder of Dress to Impress, Vicki wants everyone to celebrate that “fashion sense” is an integral component of effective self expression.
